Tom Holland hopes his TV miniseries ‘The Crowded Room’ will resonate with fans despite negative reviews.

The 27-year-old actor appeared on Unilad’s ‘Get a Job’ series on Friday where he tackled the psychological thriller Apple TV+, which he starred in and executive produced.

“It’s no secret that my show has been so horribly criticized,” he said.

Holland told Unilad he learned to be “very resilient” as a Tottenham Hotspur fan. The football team has never won the Premiere League.

The actor explained that because he’s learned resilience, he’s much more concerned with what viewers learn from watching “The Crowded Room” versus how it stacks up in reviews.

“I think the message of the show, which can address so many different issues, is that asking for help should be something we celebrate as a society. It’s an act of bravery,” he said. -he declares.

“Standing up and asking for help is not something you should be ashamed of, and I hope this show can portray that in a way that’s truthful and authentic, and most importantly, sensitive,” Holland said. “If we can somehow make people feel more empowered by saying, ‘I’m not feeling well, I really need help,’ then we’ve done what we planned to do.”

The actor concluded that he was “incredibly proud” of “The Crowded Room.” “I think it carries a very important message and I think ultimately it will be educational and entertaining.”

He told Extra in an interview earlier this month that the role was a “difficult time” and that the show made him explore emotions he had never felt before.

“The show broke me,” he said in the interview. “There came a time when I was like, ‘I need a break’, and I disappeared, went to Mexico for a week, hung out on a beach and I’m in bed. I’m now taking a year off, and that’s a result of how difficult this show is.”
