A woman has been arrested after an SUV she was driving hit three people near 35th Avenue and Grand, Phoenix police said.

Police said Miriam Madalena Badillo, 26, was driving northwest on Grand Avenue around 10 p.m. Wednesday when she hit a curb and drove onto a sidewalk where the three people were.

One of the people died at the scene and the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries, documents show. They were taken to Saint Joseph Hospital.

Documents show that Badillo’s blood alcohol level was 0.197%. The legal limit in Arizona is 0.08%.

Badillo was charged with one count of manslaughter and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
