It’s Kim Kardashian’s web, we’re all just weaving in it.
That’s one takeaway from the just-released trailer for AHS: Delicate, the 12th season of American Horror Story, which arrives with “Part 1” on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Another takeaway is that Kardashian might actually be able to pull this off. If her work in the trailer is any indication, she could very well silence the naysayers who questioned Ryan Murphy’s decision to hand this major role to a relatively inexperienced reality star.

Though specific details about their characters had been kept under wraps, we already knew that Delicate would also star AHS staple Emma Roberts and Matt Czuchry (The Resident) as a couple attempting to get pregnant, plus Cara Delevingne (Carnival Row) and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez (Pose) in previously undisclosed roles. With the release of the trailer, we now know that the season also stars returning favorites Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman and Denis O’Hare.
Unlike previous seasons, which were all original concepts, AHS‘ latest installment is based on a book — Danielle Valentine’s Delicate Condition. Described as “the feminist update to Rosemary’s Baby we all needed,” it tells the story of a woman who “becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens.”
