Green Bay police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old child

GREEN BAY – The death of a 2-year-old child is being investigated by the Green Bay Police Department.

Officers arrived at a home in the 600 block of South Irwin Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Thursday and found the child unconscious and not breathing, according to a news release.

CPR was administered before the child was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police department said the public was not in danger and no further information would be immediately released.
