‘Futurama’ Directors Tease Which Characters Could Return in Hulu’s New Revival; No ‘Simpsons’ crossover planned – Comic-Con

It’s been ten years since we’ve seen this motley crew on Comedy Central.

Director Peter Avanzino answered a kid’s question about whether Bender’s robot lookalike Flexo was coming back. Avanzino gave this a certain maybe. Flexo, who resembles the series’ main robot protag, is known to speak contrary to how he actually feels, before correcting himself; often seen when he slanders or insults an individual and then follows, “No, I’m just playing with you; you’re fine.

Avanzino said to himself that he would like to see the return of Enema bot “which had a line or two in the series”.

Roberto, the robot, is known for stabbing people and objects and robbing banks. Today’s panel included Edmund Fong, Andrew Hahn, Ira Sherak, EP Clauda Katz and Crystal Chensey Thomspon.

Said Fong, “I love Amy’s mom and dad.” Leo and Inez Wong own the entire western hemisphere of Mars, the best hemisphere of Mars. They make a fortune raising buggalo, a breed of cattle found on Mars. They have high hopes that Amy will marry a man and give them grandchildren.

Asked if there’s a crossover planned, like what happened with The simpsons And Futurama, Katz replied, “Right now we’re trying to focus on our show.”

The official login line for the new iteration: After a brief ten-year hiatus, Futurama crawled triumphantly from the cryogenic tube, its original cast complete and its satirical spirit intact. The ten all-new episodes of Season Eleven have something for everyone. New viewers can experience the series from here, while longtime fans will recognize the decades-old mystery payoffs, including developments in Fry and Leela’s epic love story, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile, there’s a brand new pandemic in town as the team explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.

Futurama first premiered in 1999 on Fox and quickly gained a loyal and acclaimed following, including two prime-time Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program. The series was released on DVD from 2007 to 2009 to great success which spurred a revival on Comedy Central from 2010 to 2013. The series follows Philip J. Fry (Billy West), a New York pizza delivery man, who accidentally freezes in 1999 and gets defrosted in the year 3000. In this amazing New York, he befriends the robot Bender (John DiMaggio), and falls in love with Cyclops Leela (Katey Sagal). The trio find work at the Planet Express Delivery Company, founded by Fry’s hesitant descendant, Professor Hubert Farnsworth. Along with accountant Hermes Conrad, assistant Amy Wong and alien lobster Dr. John Zoidberg, they embark on thrilling adventures that take them to all corners of the universe.

All ten episodes of Season 11 will air weekly, with ten more airing long-term on Hulu.
