A 14-year-old boy was killed early Saturday morning in a shooting on the East Side of Columbus, according to city police.
Lorenzo E. Butler Jr. died in a hospital after Columbus police reported finding him with a gunshot wound in the 1200 block of Fountain Lane. Officers were dispatched at 12:31 a.m. Saturday to investigate a report of a shooting in the residential area west of Big Walnut Park, according to a press release from the Columbus Police Division.
Homicide detectives have not determined any suspects or motives for the shooting.
