Brendan Hunt shares big news a few days later Ted LassoThe Season 3 finale of has debuted.
The 51-year-old actor, who plays Willis Beard on the beloved Apple TV+ series and is a co-creator, writer and executive producer, took to Instagram on Thursday to announce he proposed to girlfriend Shannon Nelson.
“Majestic @snoopshann, so rarely photographed in her natural habitat, captured here saying ‘yes,'” he wrote alongside a photo of Nelson grinning from ear to ear as he she sported a brilliant emerald-cut ring. Fans and friends of the couple, including Anika Noni Rose, Amanda Kloots and Kay Cannon, flocked to the comments section to express their best wishes.

Nelson also praised the engagement by sharing the same photo and a selfie with Hunt on his Instagram page.
“We are family,” she wrote. “A beautiful, wonderful family and forever will be. Some people assumed we had it before, but truth be told, we had other priorities to become a family. Now that just feels right. I can marry this handsome man. I can call him my husband and be his wife and I’m the luckiest.❤️”
While Nelson and Hunt have been relatively private about their relationship, they often shared sweet moments with their two-year-old son, Sean Theodore Nelson Hunt, on Instagram.

“I’m so excited to see Sean find out every day the jackpot he won by making you his father. Here’s to a lifetime of Father’s Day and some that might even give you more sleep. We love you so much!” wrote Nelson in a heartfelt message to Hunt on his first Father’s Day in 2021.
She echoed similar sentiments during the celebration Ted LassoThe Season 3 finale with a series of on-set Instagram photos.
“A special love for our Beard who creates magic wherever he goes,” she wrote. “TL #2 and his mom are so proud of you and what you’ve helped bring about. Tonight/tomorrow we say goodbye to Nelson Rd. and can’t wait for what’s next.”

While it’s unclear if there will be additional seasons of Ted Lasso, Hunt shared that “it’s not necessarily the end of the series” while speaking to Deadline in March.
“That’s probably the end of that story because we’ve always seen it as a three-part thing,” he said. “We didn’t even know for sure that we’d be able to tell all three parts – and suddenly, here we are. So there will be some sort of closure at this rate, but closure isn’t necessarily the END.”
