Iran has supplied Russia with more than 300,000 artillery shells and about a million bullets with the help of cargo ships over the past six months, as reported in April.

Iranian officials have consistently and categorically denied that Tehran is supplying Russia with Shahed-136/131 suicide drones, although Russia continues to fire on Ukraine with Iranian-made drones, including record numbers on May 28.

Iran also took responsibility for its military’s downing of Ukrainian International Airlines Flight 752 in 2020, killing all 176 passengers and crew on board.

The Ukrainian government on May 25 submitted proposals to the RNBO to impose sectoral sanctions against Iran for 50 years.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented a new sanctions package against the aggressor country of Russia during his evening speech on May 27.
