If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. That’s exactly what MMA fighter Sadibou Sy did in Atlanta at PFL 6 on Friday night before landing an incredible spinning shot from Shane Mitchell.

After attempting a similar kick in round one, Sy’s foot connected to Mitchell’s forehead 95 seconds into round three for the knockout victory.

“I had to recalibrate a bit but we finally figured it out,” Sy said of his other kick attempts earlier in the fight. “I pride myself on being the best and improving. I’m a workaholic. I’m obsessed with this game.”

The victory propelled Sy, 36, into the welterweight semifinals against Carlos Leal.

Here is the referee’s body camera angle for the knockout:

Sy is looking to defend the 2022 PFL Welterweight Championship which he won from Dilano Taylor via unanimous decision. His win over Mitchell marked Sy’s sixth straight win and 15th victory in 24 career fights.
