Police seek advice on stolen tools worth $35,000 in South Berks

June 10—Crime Alert Berks County, a grassroots crime-fighting group, is offering cash rewards of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides tips leading to an arrest in this or any other case or crime.

Tipsters with crime information can call 877-373-9913 anytime or contact Crime Alert on its website at www.alertberks.org or through the AlertBerks smartphone app. No one will ask for the name of the caller, who will be assigned a code number.

Offence: theft of tools

Date and time: May 21 between 3:23 a.m. and 4:29 a.m.

Location: 700 blocks from Crossings Boulevard, Caernarvon Township

Suspects: unknown

Police synopsis: The suspect, dressed entirely in black, used bolt cutters to break into three construction trailers. Once inside the trailers, the person stole a large quantity of tools worth approximately $35,000. The suspect left the area in a vehicle, shown in security camera footage, which left the area heading east on Route 23 toward Chester County. The vehicle appears to be a black Chevrolet Traverse.
