Footage from the scene showed a heavy police presence on a bridge that crosses the Anacostia River in Bladensburg, about a mile east of Maryland’s line with Washington, D.C.
Bladensburg police said they plan to hold an afternoon press conference to discuss the shooting, but authorities did not provide details on the number of people shot, the severity of their injuries or the circumstances. surrounding the shooting.
