Person being questioned after woman, 53, found dead Saturday morning on West Side, Chicago police said

A 53-year-old woman was pronounced dead after she was found unresponsive Saturday morning at a residence on the West Side, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 8 a.m., the woman was discovered unresponsive at a residence in the 4200 block of West Adams Street in the West Garfield Park neighborhood. She was pronounced dead, police said.

The circumstances leading up to the death are not immediately known.

A person of interest is being questioned, and detectives were investigating.
