No injuries after car crashes into Boulder scuba and dive store

There were no reported injuries after a car drove into a scuba and dive store in the 600 block of South Broadway Monday morning.

At approximately 12:51 p.m., Boulder police announced the crash via Twitter.

A 75-year-old woman driver was cited for careless driving, according to Dionne Waugh, a spokesperson for the Boulder police.

The woman told officers the crash was caused by a mechanical issue, though an initial investigation by police indicated the driver mistook the gas for the brake when parking and crashed into the building.

Assisting agencies included Boulder police and Boulder Fire-Rescue.
