Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (right) has made ‘woke’ a central part of his identity and a key to his 2024 presidential aspirations, even using the word seven times in 20 seconds at an event the month last.
But MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace didn’t have her final attempt to use it as a talking point.
On Tuesday, “Deadline White House,” she played a clip of DeSantis once again promising to end the “revival” if elected.
“I will be able to destroy leftism in this country and leave the woke ideology in the dustbin of history,” DeSantis told Fox News.
After the clip, Wallace let out a big laugh.
Then she got serious.
“Awake mob didn’t storm the US Capitol. Awake mob didn’t shoot Uvalde. Awake mob doesn’t represent the threat of domestic violent extremism, but OK, Ron, go get the awakened crowd,” she said:
