Asked what it was like to live under constant danger throughout the full-scale war, the head of state said he was used to danger because it was part of his life, unlike Putin, whom “more people” want to kill, according to Zelensky.

“I will tell you that Putin is in more danger than me now. More people want to kill him,” the president said.

“Many people next to me are also living in danger,” he added. “It’s a conscious choice we made. I’m proud of the task ahead of me. I can live with that.”

Zelenskyy also pointed out that soldiers on the front lines are in the greatest danger.

“Every second,” said the Ukrainian leader. “Constant explosions. It is very difficult to sleep and survive. I’ve been there several times and I know what’s going on. God will give them the strength to go on and go home.

Earlier, British newspaper The Independent reported that Zelenskyy had survived more than 12 assassination attempts since the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia.

Some of the attempts were thwarted by the US Central Intelligence Agency, according to the newspaper.
