Montgomery man arrested in November shooting, police say

The Montgomery Police Department on Sunday charged 31-year-old Keenan Gadson with capital murder.

Officers identifies Gadson as a suspect in the shooting death of Jaderrick Richardson on Nov. 28, 2022. That night, law enforcement responded to the 3900 block of Woodley Road to find Richardson. He had a fatal gunshot wound, and police declared him dead at the scene.

MPD investigated the case for six months before taking Gadson into custody. The investigation remains ongoing, and as of Sunday evening, Gadson was being held inside Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.

Both Richardson and Gadson resided in Montgomery at the time of the shooting.

Police have not released information on a potential motive for the shooting, and according to a statement, no further information is available at this time.
