Man strangled in Bronx apartment: NYPD

Cops are investigating the death of a 48-year-old man found strangled in his Bronx apartment, police said Saturday.

Police called to the 12th-floor apartment on Hoe Ave. near Jennings St. in Charlotte Gardens about 10:30 a.m. Friday found victim Yaya Kouyate dead on his bathroom floor.

He had marks on his neck as if he had been strangled, cops said. He died at the scene.

The city Medical Examiner’s office declared the death a homicide based on the strangulation marks police said.

Kouyate’s killer vanished before police arrived. No arrests have been made and no motive for the killing was disclosed Saturday.
