The Bakersfield Police Department and members of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue recovered the body of a man Thursday from the Kern River in Yokuts Park.
A Bakersfield park ranger received a report of a deceased person at 9:05 a.m. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office attended near the 4200 block of Empire Drive and recovered the body around 11 a.m. , according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
