Man dies after being stabbed multiple times in northern Fort Collins

Fort Collins police are investigating a homicide after a man was found with multiple stab wounds Friday night and later died in a hospital.

The suspect remains at large.

Police were called to 318 N. College Ave., a Loaf N Jug gas station and convenience store in North Fort Collins, following a report of a “potential stabbing” around 10:09 p.m., according to a news release released around 2 a.m. Saturday. An adult male with multiple stab wounds was found in College and Willow Street and taken to hospital, where he later died.

One suspect is described as a man in his 40s or 50s with a darker complexion and a “scruffy beard”, wearing jeans, a dark colored shirt and a black hat. He was reported riding a dark colored bicycle east on Willow.

“Our detectives and forensic services will be working through the night and endlessly until we are able to apprehend this suspect,” said Sgt. Randy Klamser, who oversees the Fort Collins Police’s Crimes Against Persons Unit.

The press release describes the investigation as in its early stages.

Several police officers were at the scene Friday night, and northbound College Avenue was closed, along with part of Willow Street as police investigated.

The Larimer County coroner will later release the man’s identity and cause of death, according to the news release.
