A search is underway for a man who’s wanted after an attempted sexual assault, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said.
The attack happened Sunday afternoon in Chapin’s Crooked Creek Park, according to the sheriff’s department. That’s in the area of Lexington County between Lake Murray and U.S. 76.
A female exercising in the park said a shirtless man in his 20s wearing khaki cargo shorts grabbed her and tried to pull her into the woods, according to the sheriff’s department.
Information about what happened and how the female got away from the attack was not available.
The sheriff’s department released a sketch based on the female’s description of the attacker and is asking for help from the public to find the man.
