Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Celebrate Son Michael’s 26th Birthday With Throwback Photos: ‘We Love You’

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos showed their son Michael Consuelos the love of social media on Friday, when their eldest son was 26.

The parents of three children and Living with Kelly and Mark hosts, both posted tributes to Michael on their respective accounts. And like all moms and dads looking to embarrass their child, they’ve chosen childhood photos of Michael to share.

“Happy 26th birthday @michael.consuelos…” Mark, 52, captioned a sepia-toned photo of a young Michael posing shirtless in jeans. “We love you Michael!!!”

Ripa, 52, picked more than once for his job. Instead, she went with a reel full of photos of Michael over the years, including his first birthday photo (and lots of Michael with his siblings, 21-year-old Lola Consuelos and Joaquin Consuelos, 20 years).

“26 years ago he rocked our world and has been rocking it ever since!” Ripa wrote in the video, about The Beatles’ “A Day in the Life.” “Happy birthday @michael.consuelos we love you πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰.”

“Thanks for life, mom! ❀️,” he wrote in response.

In November, Michael opened up about his famous parents in an interview for PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man 2022 issue, in A Portfolio of Famous Sons.

The New York University graduate and aspiring actor – who appeared with his father on Riverdale and worked with his mother in let’s get physical, the original Lifetime movie produced by both parents – said he looked up to his mother and father, especially Ripa after he published his memoir. “I heard a lot of stories growing up and it’s been really cool to see all that hard work come to fruition for her,” he said. “I’m really proud of her.”

As Michael grew older, he came to terms with his parents talking about him and his family on TV and social media.

“It’s completely normal for me,” he said. “Things are less serious when you’re an adult and the things that bothered you when you were a kid don’t really bother you anymore. What they do is their business. I don’t mind. I guess I’m used to it. at this stage.”

What about those shirtless photos his dad posts? “That’s the motivation,” Michael said. “When I train with my father and my brother, because they are both very strong, it is a motivation for me. I do a bit of catching up.”

As for his parents themselves, Michael said he sees them as “relationship goals.”

“I’ve been with them the longest,” he said. entertainment tonight in August 2020, noting that he is the couple’s firstborn. “Not a year after they were married, about a year, and then I came on the scene. So we kind of grew up together, or so I see it.”

“I think it’s just a little version of what we do at home. That’s how we are.”
