A month after Jessie J welcomed her first child, she pays tribute to the father of her newborn son and their love.
“I find it hard to keep things private,” the superstar wrote on her Instagram Stories over a photo of her partner, basketball player Chanan Safir Colman, holding her hand during the C-section delivery, according to HEY. “I want to protect the people I love and keep it just for me… And then so often I think f— it because life is short but I don’t want to regret it. Once the door opened, it was impossible to close it. »

Jessie added that she met Colman just a week after suffering a pregnancy loss in late 2021. “Like a beam of light. He brightened up my dark days. It was kind of a whirlwind love and a miracle that we got pregnant naturally without any issues during,” she wrote. “Grateful is not enough. He has given me many of the best gifts of my life. He didn’t let go of my hand that day and I couldn’t have gotten through it without him.
The “Price Tag” singer concluded by noting that Colman is “the calm of my boobies.” Peace to my fear. My baby’s daddy.
The British pop star revealed she was expecting her first child in January with an Instagram post. Last month, Jessie announced the happy news of her son’s arrival. “A week ago, my whole life changed. My son walked into this world and my heart doubled in size,” she wrote in a statement posted to her Instagram Stories. “The feeling is indescribable. I fly in love. He is magical. He is all my dreams come true. He is my everything [world emoji].”
