Hunter Biden’s attorney files lawsuit after Marjorie Taylor Greene showed nude photos to Congress

WASHINGTON — Hunter Biden’s attorney filed an ethics complaint in the House of Representatives on Friday against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for reaching a “new level of abhorrent behavior” after posting sexually explicit photos of him during a hearing on Wednesday.

The attorney, Father Lowell, told the Congressional Ethics Office in a letter that the Georgia Republican’s “verbal abuse and unmoored attacks on Biden amounted to numerous ethics violations.”

Lowell had previously complained in April against Greene for alleged defamation, false allegations, publication of private photos and “bizarre dissemination of conspiracy theories about Mr Biden and his family members”.

“She displayed (on print posters) sexually explicit and nude images of Mr. Biden,” Lowell wrote. “Then, near the end of her interrogation, Ms. Greene held up the graphic billboards, spouting yet another of her untethered conspiracy theories, suggesting without any evidence that they showed Mr. Biden ‘doing porn’.”

The office does not announce what it is investigating, but based on a preliminary review, the complaint may eventually reach the House Ethics Committee. That panel of lawmakers could potentially recommend full censure of the House or oust Greene, but few complaints result in disciplinary action because the committee is evenly split between parties.

The hearing was part of wide-ranging investigations the committee and Judiciary Committee have been conducting into Biden and his father, President Joe Biden. The White House dismissed the probes as hyperpartisan innuendo.

Greene’s presentation came during a hearing with two Internal Revenue Service investigators about Republican complaints that a tax probe into Biden was too weak.

Biden agreed in June to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and resolve a gun charge in a way that is unlikely to require incarceration. A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.

Greene criticized the Justice Department for not aggressively prosecuting Biden and warned the public that “parental discretion is advised.” She accused Biden of doing amateur pornography, sex trafficking and paying prostitutes while brandishing photos of him since laptop material circulated on the internet.

“What’s even more troubling to me is that the Justice Department has not brought any charges against Hunter Biden that will enforce the rights of these women who are clearly victims under the law,” Greene said.

Greene asked why the department didn’t pursue Biden more aggressively. She tweeted more questions on Friday why the Justice Department hadn’t prosecuted him for sex trafficking and deducted the sex payments from his taxes as business expenses.

Lowell argued that none of Greene’s presentations were the business of the House.

“None of her actions or statements could be considered part of legitimate legislative activity, as is apparent both from the content of her statements and her conduct and from the forums she uses to spew out her haphazard rhetoric,” Lowell wrote.
