Fans are starting to understand why there is tension between Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian. On the last episode of The KardashiansKourtney explained to Kendall Jenner why she was upset about Kim’s collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana.
“While we were at our wedding, I guess Kim was having these conversations with Dolce that I didn’t know anything about,” Kourtney began.
Kourtney and Travis Barker both wore Dolce & Gabbana when they said “I do” last May. In fact, the fashion house created looks not just for the happy couple, but for the entire KarJenner clan. Some even speculated that the designers sponsored the lavish weekend, which Dolce & Gabbana denied.
On The Kardashians, Kourtney shared how she had a close personal relationship with Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce for years, which is why she went to them to organize her wedding looks. So how does Kim get mixed up in all of this? Shortly after Kourtney’s wedding, the Skims co-founder was asked to lead the creation of the Dolce & Gabbana show at Milan Fashion Week. Season 3 picks up as Kim prepares for the event.
“I just feel like there’s… such an abundance of opportunity,” Kourtney cried. “Sorry, that pisses me off.”
“I hate that it affects you so much,” Kendall said.
“It’s not about business, there’s so much going on and it takes precedence over hurting your sister. It’s okay to copy my marriage,” Kourtney explained. “It’s stupid because it’s something deeper that it’s about. It’s grabbing whatever is in the way. It’s, like, such abundance or excess, it’s not never enough, it’s never just OK not to do something, or to refuse something because it doesn’t make sense.”
An emotional Kourtney claimed Kim “wasn’t happy at my wedding” as everyone said they had “the best time”.
“She can never give recognition like, ‘Whoa that’s so amazing, I love this whole vibe,'” Kourtney said, claiming that Kim has never hinted that she’s interested in some sort of partnership. with the designers at the time. The reality star added that she would “never” tell “someone not to do something”.
“I think it’s also unconscious. I think [Kim] sees everything I had there and takes it for itself and she doesn’t even see it,” Kourtney continued. “She sees it like the dollar signs, but to me, I see it and I see like ‘Oh, you were there, you weren’t happy.'”
According to Kourtney, “everyone said something” about Kim “spiraling” at her wedding.
Kourtney went on to say how upset she was about Kris Jenner’s lack of communication about Kim’s business opportunity. “Mom never told me about it,” she exclaimed.
“I don’t think that’s just the way it’s been handled,” Kendall agreed.
“Mom feels like she has — like she almost had a right to it, like she didn’t need to get my permission,” Kourtney said. “If I did that to Kim, she would freak out.”
Kourtney continued, “For me, it was more personal. I think that’s why it hurts me. It was my real wedding. The year your sister got married, you made a deal to do this fashion show. Don’t do it. do it the same year coming out four months later. It’s not like I did their campaign and she did the campaign right after. Like , who cares? It’s the business. It’s my real wedding and it wasn’t a business for me. I did it because it was really personal.”
Kourtney made her annoyance known over her family group’s text when Kris pushed everyone to promote Kim’s Dolce & Gabbana shirts.
“It just, like, triggered me. Like, does anyone see anything that seems weird?” Kourtney lamented. “It feels really inauthentic to me, and I can’t fake it, and I don’t want to support that. And then I haven’t told mom about it since.”
“I think that’s what sucks the most is you saying how, you know, you felt special at the time of your wedding and how it deflates everything when she does that right after” , Kendall agreed. “It’s crazy, everyone is crazy.”
The episode ends with Kim getting ready for the show in Milan. She had Kris and Khloé Kardashian in Italy for support.
“Have you seen uh, Kourt’s stuff?” Khloe asked.
“No, is she that mad at me?” Kim replied. “She’s mad at me?!
“Mad at mom, everyone. She’s — it’s crazy,” Khloé added.
“About what?” asked Kim. “I who do this?”
“Loyalty,” Khloé replied. “It’s wild.”
“Wow,” Kim said.
“That’s not rational,” Khloé exclaimed.
“She’s mad that I’m doing the Dolce thing,” Kim said, trying to put the whole thing together.
“She didn’t tell you specifically that it’s…it’s not nice, on her end,” Khloé added.
In her confessional, Kim claimed it was the “first time” she had heard Kourtney was upset.
“I couldn’t have been more aware,” she said. “I said…don’t do anything Kourtney wore to her wedding out of respect for Kourtney. She doesn’t know I have the chain of emails begging them to push her back for a year.”
Kim continued, “What I’ve realized in this lifetime is that everyone has their own truth about how they think something happened. It’s weird, you know, but it’s all gonna come out on the show. It’s our therapy.”
