Chris Christie responds to Donald Trump’s attacks on his weight: “Like he’s an Adonis?”

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has responded to former President Donald Trump mocking his weight, calling the former president a “schoolyard bully”.

Asked about Trump’s previous comments on Fox News’ “MediaBuzz,” the former governor replied in an interview that aired Sunday, “Oh what, like he’s an Adonis?”

“There are tens of millions of Americans, among your audience watching right now, who, like me, have struggled with their weight. I continue to struggle. I continue to try to do better, and so do they” , said Christie.

“What does that have to do with my office proficiency?” I ran the governorship of New Jersey for eight years,” Christie added, calling Trump a “kid” and a “schoolyard bully who teases you and makes fun of you.”

The former Trump ally also said: ‘I don’t care what he says about me, and I don’t care what he thinks of me, and he should look in the mirror once in a while – maybe Maybe he would drop the weight of his list of critics.

“They need to hear the truth” Christie responds after being booed criticizing Trump

This isn’t the first time Christie has responded to Trump’s insults about her weight. The former president previously shared a video edited to insult Christie about his weight, showing the former governor in a doctored clip holding a plate of food and standing in front of a buffet while launching his presidential bid.

Christie at the time told CNN “If we had a kid behaving like that, we’d send him to his room, not the White House.”

Trump in a video last week said he was told not to “punch” his Republican rivals, saying “sometimes it is necessary to speak ill of those who, for no reason other than politics, speak ill of YOU”.
