Boulder police arrested a woman after police said she made a false report of an armed man at Hazel’s Beverage World, prompting a SWAT response.
Officials said the woman called police at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday and said a person with an assault rifle had entered the store, 1955 28th St.
Boulder SWAT responded and evacuated the store and searched the building, but did not find any armed individuals. An employee of the store reviewed store video footage and found no evidence of an armed man entering the store.
According to police, officers identified the woman who made the call and located her nearby. She was arrested on suspicion of filing a false report of explosives, and on trespassing charges.
