Billie Eilish proudly shares her love for all things Barbie, including her upcoming song release for the Greta Gerwig-directed film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

The 21-year-old ‘Bad Guy’ singer posted throwback photos to her Instagram Story on Thursday, showing a Barbie birthday party she had as a child and photos of herself opening a castle of Barbie on what seemed like a childhood Christmas morning.

A birthday star? A pink and yellow Barbie cake, consisting of five layers of yellow cake with chocolate icing inside.

In another photo from Story, Eilish’s post read, “What was I made for?” teasing her Barbie-themed song. She also posted a “B” — which is also, notably, the singer’s first initial — in the Barbie logo lettering on her feed, with the song title written across the top.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Why was I made??” Eilish wrote in the caption of this last post. “RELEASING JULY 13TH AT 7AM PT.!!!!!!!!!”

The seven-time Grammy winner then shared more details about her addition to Barbie the Album, which arrives on July 21 – the same day the film hits theaters.

“WE MADE THIS SONG FOR BARBIE AND IT MEANS THE ABSOLUTE WORLD TO ME. THIS MOVIE WILL CHANGE YOUR LIVES AND I HOPE THE SONG WILL ALSO,” Eilish wrote, tagging her brother and music producing partner Finneas and adding: “GET YOURSELF READY TO SOB.”

The star-studded lineup also includes tracks from Lizzo, Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice, Karol G, Charli XCX, PinkPantheress, Ava Max, Dominic Fike, Khalid, The Kid Laroi, Tame Impala, Haim, Gayle and Fifty Fifty Fifty with Kali. Gosling, 42, also performs a song as Ken’s character.

The album was announced in late May, alongside a few “TBDs” – one of which is now confirmed to be Eilish’s song.

In 2021, Eilish attended her first Met Gala looking like an actual Barbie Peaches N Cream – a collectible released in 1984.

The singer’s peach Oscar de la Renta corset ball gown had off-the-shoulder tulle detailing and a long train flowing behind her.

“It was just about time,” Eilish told Keke Palmer on the red carpet of her fashion risk, as she was known for her much bolder looks up until then. “It was time for that, and I feel like I’ve grown so much over the past few years.”

Of her general love for Barbie dolls, she said, “They were my favorite thing in the world. I asked for them for Christmas every year. The dresses – really, that was my inspiration.”

Barbie And barbie the scrapbook will both be released on July 21.
