Charles Schwab adds services for retail customers who have account balances over $1 million. These clients will be granted automatic access to a dedicated financial advisor at no additional cost to them. Other benefits include: special offers at Schwab Bank, including mortgage discounts; expanded loan options; and access to experts in tax planning, trusts and estate planning. The move may be aimed at preventing Schwab’s wealthy clients from drifting away from full-service advisers at competitors.
