Alec Baldwin is back after his recent hip replacement surgery.

Friday, the Dr. Death The 65-year-old actor was spotted in public for the first time since his May 30 operation, using a cane to navigate the streets of New York.

Baldwin used the gray and metallic kickstand on his left side and opted for a smart-casual look for his walk in the Big Apple. With a blazer held in his right hand, he paired a baggy navy shirt and black t-shirt with matching navy pants and finished his outfit with a pair of polished black loafers.

The actor’s exit came after he opened up about his “incredibly painful” recovery from surgery in a video posted to Instagram last week. “I had my hip replaced on Tuesday of last week,” he began. “I had my left hip redone in 2018, five years ago, and I had the other redone five days ago.”

“The pain is gradually going away…but it’s incredibly painful,” Baldwin shared in Instagram Reel. “But like we keep saying in my house, ‘It’s the pain that’s going to end the pain.’ I needed this operation at least two years ago and I was walking around and limping and I did myself no favors because the compensatory damage you do to your back, neck, feet and knees is not not terrible.

In the video, the actor admitted that he struggled to “hobble” for several years, but was unable to plan for the surgery and the recovery time required.

“I didn’t have time to do it in terms of work or schedule. I didn’t have 4-6 weeks to limit myself in this way,” he continued. “Or my glucose issues affected that, so it was very difficult. We would set a date to do the surgery and I would fail my blood sugar test.
