A fan throws a bag of ashes at Pink during a concert on the tour

Pink interrupted her performance at a recent concert to address a fan who threw a bag containing their mother’s ashes onto the stage.

The “Raise Your Glass” singer took it in stride, though she looked understandably confused in footage circulating on social media.

” It’s your mother ? Pink can be heard asking in a video as she picks up the bag. “I don’t know how I feel about it.”

The 43-year-old walked with the bag to the front of the stage and put it down before continuing to sing “Just Like a Pill”.

Pink was performing at BST Hyde Park in London as part of her Summer Carnival tour, with two dates there on Saturday and Sunday.

She shared a recap video on Instagram. “@bsthydepark it’s the joy of my life playing with you all. I’m never grateful,” she wrote. The ash throwing incident was not incorporated into his video.

USA TODAY has reached out to Pink’s rep for comment.

This is not the first time that a miscellaneous object has been thrown on stage during a performance. Last summer, a fan threw a chicken nugget at Harry Styles in New York’s Madison Square Garden while vying for his attention. And the ash throwing follows two separate incidents at shows in the United States that made headlines.

Last week, Ava Max said an audience member slapped her while performing at a show in Los Angeles. Pop singer Bebe Rexha had to be hospitalized earlier this month after an audience member threw a phone at her during a concert, the New York Police Department confirmed in a statement to USA TODAY.
