1 in custody after I-70 police chase ended in Preble County

A person is in custody after a police chase ended on Interstate 70 in Preble County early Tuesday morning.

The chase first began in Clark County in the State Route 4 area near Upper Valley Pike around 1:09 a.m., according to initial scanner traffic.

The suspect’s vehicle eventually arrived on I-70 and traveled to Montgomery and Preble counties.

Dayton Post troopers of the Ohio State Highway Patrol used stop sticks to slow the vehicle.

He pulled over on WB I-70 at the six-mile marker just after 1:45 a.m. and soldiers took the man into custody, OSHP dispatchers told News Center 7.

We are working to find out what initially triggered the pursuit and the charges against the suspect.
