Orville Peck postpones tour due to mental and physical health issues

Orville Peck has postponed the remainder of his “Bronco” tour, a lineup of summer dates across North America that began June 20, due to his declining mental and physical health.

The “Dead of Night” singer shared the news via social media on Wednesday, expressing his regret and hoping his fanbase could understand the “incredibly difficult decision.”

“It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but I have realized that my current mental and physical health will not allow me to bring you the best,” Peck wrote in his post. “My fans mean the absolute world to me and I’m incredibly grateful to every single person who bought a ticket to come see us play, I don’t take that for granted.”

The note continued, “Being on stage is my favorite thing in the world. But I need to take this time to replenish my mind and body so I can come back stronger and healthier than before, so I can do what I love for many years to come. I really hope you can understand.

Peck’s representatives declined Varietyrequest for additional information or additional comments.

The Bronco Tour’s summer dates began with a sold-out opening show at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York City and were scheduled to end August 10 at the Santa Fe Brewing Company Bridge in New Mexico. Peck was also expected to make stops in Columbus, Cleveland, Asbury Park, Indianapolis, Omaha, Kansas City and more during his 11-date run.

The Bronco Tour was first billed as a series of concerts that took place last summer and continued earlier this spring. In between, Peck has performed at Coachella, Stagecoach and Boston Calling music festivals. Her last headlining tour was in 2021 for her debut album “Pony.”
