Ezra Miller Will Return For Future Sequel Despite Controversies, Says Director

Ezra Miller will return for a potential sequel the flash despite their recent controversies, the film’s director said.

In recent years, Miller – who uses the pronouns they/them – has faced a range of controversies and legal issues, from disorderly conduct and assault to burglary.

In August 2022, the actor issued an apology, explaining that he suffered from “complex mental health issues”.

This had led many to wonder if their latest project, a big screen adaptation of DC Comics the flash would never be released, having started filming in 2021.

However, the long-awaited film will finally hit theaters on June 16, despite some fans threatening to boycott the project because of Miller’s involvement.

In an upcoming episode of The speech podcast, director Andy Muschietti praised Miller for his performance, saying the actor would continue the role in any sequel Muschietti does.

“If that happens, yes,” said the director, as reported by The reading list. “I don’t think there’s anyone who can play this character as well as them.

“Other portrayals of the character are great, but this particular take on the character, they just excelled at it. And, like you said, the two Barrys – it looks like a character that was made for them.

Barbara, wife of Muschietti, who produced the film, added: “In principal photography, Ezra was brilliant and the most committed and professional. [actor]. Ezra gave his all for this role – physically, creatively, emotionally. They were absolutely supreme.

Miller’s troubles began when a video surfaced on Twitter in 2020 that appeared to show the actor smothering a woman at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. No charges were ever brought against Miller for this incident.

Miller was also accused of grooming and “psychologically manipulating, physically intimidating and endangering the safety and well-being” of 18-year-old Indigenous activist Tokata Iron Eyes.

In an interview with The Independentthe teenager’s father claimed that Miller supplied them with alcohol, marijuana and LSD during their friendship, which dated back to when Iron Eyes was 12 years old.

Tokata Iron Eyes denied being abused or cared for by the actor.

In May 2022, Miller was charged with alleged liquor theft in the state of Vermont. Local police said in a statement they received a complaint that several bottles of alcohol were stolen from an address on County Rd in Stamford on May 1 this year.
