Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Tuesday introduced that Dasun Shanaka was unable to journey with the staff for the West Indies tour as a result of a problem associated to securing his visa. SLC mentioned they’re working intently with the related authorities to get the visa concern sorted.
“Sri Lanka Cricket needs to tell that Dasun Shanaka, who was named within the ‘White Ball Squad’ to tour West Indies, didn’t journey together with the staff as a result of a problem associated to securing his Visa,” SLC mentioned in an announcement.
“Shanaka confronted this concern pursuant to the lack of his passport, which had a sound visa for the USA stamped on it. Sri Lanka Cricket is working intently with the related authorities to get the visa concern of Shanaka sorted, rapidly as potential. On Monday, SLC introduced the ODI and T20I squads for the Windies tour and named Shanaka as Sri Lanka’s T20I captain. Dimuth Karunaratne will lead the staff within the ODIs.
