A toddler has died after being accidentally shot by an older sibling Thursday evening, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Just before 5 p.m., deputies received a call in reference to a child being shot at home on Fort Dobbs Road in Statesville.
At the home, deputies found a neighbor performing CPR on a three-year-old boy who had been shot.
Deputies determined that the toddler had been shot inside a car by his five-year-old brother.
