SI’s Dan Wetzel, Ross Dellenger and Pat Forde reunite to recap a hectic weekend of college football media days.

Kicking off, the University of Tennessee has finally received a ruling for its many infractions under the reign of Jeremy Pruitt. The more than 200 infractions warranted a fine and numerous no-shows for Pruitt and the Tennessee staffers. With the help of Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti, the volunteers were able to maintain their bowl eligibility.

On Monday, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey spoke about NIL’s future and state involvement at SEC media days. Sankey is trying to find a solution to reduce state involvement in NIL laws and regulations. The guys agree with Sankey’s sentiments and are defending the NCAA against government failings and excesses in sports.

Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher had an interesting day on the podium. Fisher dodged a question when asked who would call the plays for the Aggies, himself or Bobby Petrino. Fisher held himself back from giving the game plan for Saturday.

The North West fallout continues as more athletes continue with the program after reports of hazing emerged that resulted in the firing of head coach Pat Fitzgerald. LSU’s Brian Kelly weighed in on the situation and wasn’t shy about how a team should be run to avoid situations like this.

Big 12 Assistant Commissioner Tim Weiser recently spoke about the impending departure of Texas and Oklahoma. Dan, Pat, and Ross react to Weiser’s statements that Texas no longer wants to lose to Kansas State and that Oklahoma is just leaving because Texas did.

New Kansas Jayhawk Hunter Dickinson has described Kansas people as much nicer than Michigan people, prompting the guys to debate whether or not “nice midwest” is a real thing.

Finally, Dan and new Yahoo employee Ross confront Pat about a misstep that happened while recording the podcast.
