The end of stranger things recalls its debut in a direct way, and now Netflix really makes it clear with its next play.
A new teaser for Stranger Things: The First Shadowa stage production that acts as a prequel to the hit streaming series, arrived Wednesday with a message: “The beginning of the stranger things history may hold the key to what’s to come.”
We won’t see the fifth and final season for a while; production was halted due to the Hollywood writers’ strike. The first shadow aims to amp up the anticipation even further, dating back to 1959 Hawkins when a young Henry Creel (future Vecna) first arrives in town with his family.
Season 4 has already revealed a number of strange things about Henry, including how he used his immense psychic abilities to torment and kill his parents. It also described how he would become One, the first of Dr. Brenner’s (Matthew Modine) child test subjects. The first shadow expands on its origin story, which will feature younger versions of Jim Hopper, Joyce Maldonado and Bob Newby – characters played on the show by David Harbour, Winona Ryder and Sean Astin.

Henry/One/Vecna is clearly part of the events of Season 5, even though actor Jamie Campbell Bower is contractually bound to confirm such things. terminator Icon Linda Hamilton has also been announced for the final chapter in an undisclosed role.
