North End shooting leaves bullet hole in window of popular patisserie

A shooting in Boston’s North End has left a bullet hole in the window of a popular bakery.

Police were called to Modern Pastry on Hanover Street in the North End just after 11pm on Wednesday to an apparent shooting.

Modern Pastry closes at 10 p.m. and it does not appear that anyone was inside the store at the time of the shooting.

Police could be seen probing the area and collecting ballistic evidence.

In the summer there are usually long lines outside the store of people waiting to get cannolis and other pastries.

No injuries were reported in the shooting and no arrests were made.

The shooting remains under investigation.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
