Jonah Hill’s ex-girlfriend accused him of being “emotionally abusive” and shared what she claimed were screenshots of messages he sent her during their relationship.
Sarah Brady, who dated Hill in 2021, posted several Instagram Stories of what appeared to be text messages between the former couple.
In the posts, the ‘You People’ actor seemed uncomfortable with Brady’s modeling career, saying it was ‘the last profession I would be in as a partner’ in one of the texts. .
“Keep taking me for granted,” read a text purportedly sent from Hill. “Go model! It’s a fulfilling life.”
“The real depth and substance and durability of relationships,” the posts continued.
In another alleged text exchange, Brady appeared to send Hill various photos of other women modeling, asking if he thought they were “revealing/sexual.”
“I wouldn’t date any of these people,” the response read. “People who value their internet presence over their relationship aren’t where I am in life and it’s fine if that’s where you are in life.”
Brady also reposted a TikTok uploaded by Estefanía Pessoa, who goes by @hellotefi, who discussed a screenshot of another text exchange she shared on Instagram.
In it, a text allegedly sent from Hill to Brady exposed the limits of his relationship. This included “surfing with men”, “inappropriate friendships without borders with men”, modeling, posting photos in bathing suits, posting “sex images” and having “friendships with women who are in unstable places”.
“I am not the right partner for you. If these things bring you happiness, I support it and there will be no hard feelings. These are my limits for a romantic partnership,” a follow-up message read. .
Brady also shared a screenshot of a Financial Times review of “Stutz,” the 2022 film Hill made about his psychiatrist Phil Stutz, and wrote “Boycott Stutz” on it. “Sus & unethical,” she added.
“Someone who is an emotionally abusive partner doesn’t mean they are a terrible person (it often stems from their own trauma),” Brady wrote in a separate Instagram Story. “And at the same time, that doesn’t mean it’s okay.”
“If I could have one wish for him, it would be that he was surrounded by feminist men who can hold him accountable for growing up as he has expressed,” read another Instagram Story posted by Brady. “I think fame can put people in an echo chamber of viewpoints that can allow for emotionally abusive behavior.”
After Brady and Hill split, the “Superbad” actor began dating vintage shop owner Olivia Millar. The couple welcomed a daughter in May.
Brady and Hill’s reps did not immediately respond to Insider’s requests for comment, made outside of normal working hours.
