Jonah Hill’s ex Sarah Brady opens up about their relationship and claims the actor was “emotionally abusive” during their time together.
In a series of Instagram Story posts between Friday and Saturday, the surf instructor shared several screenshots of various alleged text exchanges between her and the 39-year-old actor.
“This is a warning to all the girls. If your partner talks to you like this, make an exit plan. Call me if you need an ear,” Brady wrote, showing text messages allegedly from Hill asking him to remove all surf photos from her Instagram with her “ass in a thong”.
After Brady said she deleted “all posts,” the super bad The star reportedly told her it was a “good start” but she didn’t “seem to understand” what he meant. “But it’s not for me to teach you. I made my boundaries clear,” Hill reportedly wrote. “You refuse to let go of some of them and you made that clear and I hope that makes you happy.”

In another screenshot, Brady shared a text exchange allegedly between the former couple, in which Hill allegedly said that if Brady wanted to surf “with men”, “model”, “post pictures of you in a bathing suit” and “to post sexual photos”, among other things, that he is “not the right partner” for her.
Brady, along with a representative for Hill, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

In a follow-up post, Brady – who went public with his romance with Hill in August 2021 – wrote: “I too struggle with mental health but I don’t use it to control [people] like he did for me.”
She added, “It’s been a year of healing and growing with the help of loved ones and doctors to get back to living my life free of guilt, shame and self-judgment for things as small as surfing in a bathing suit. bath rather than a more conservative combination.And I’m sure there’s still a lot more healing from this abuse ahead of me.
The athlete then shared alleged DM exchanges between her and Hill, in which the actor appeared to send her several flirty comments in reaction to her surf photos.
“Sharing this publicly now because keeping it to myself was doing more damage to my sanity than sharing it ever could,” Brady wrote in another post.
Brady then shared a message for Hill – who welcomed a baby with girlfriend Olivia Millar earlier this year – writing, “I hope my ex has a girl” alongside a white heart emoji.
“Maybe it will make him a real feminist,” she continued, “because the fact that he calls himself a feminist now is laughable.”
In another post, Brady wrote of Hill, “If I could have one wish for him it would be for him to be surrounded by feminist men who can hold him accountable for growing up the way he expressed his desire. .”
“I think fame can put people in an echo chamber of viewpoints, which can enable emotionally abusive behavior,” she continued.
In a final post, Brady wrote that being an “emotionally abusive partner doesn’t mean he’s a terrible person” and said it often stems from someone’s own trauma. “At the same time, it doesn’t mean that everything is fine,” she concluded.
