(Bloomberg) — Two people were hanged Saturday morning in Iran in connection with a deadly attack on a mosque last year, the official Islamic Republic news agency reported.

The accused assailants were executed in a public alley in Shiraz, the report said, near the Shah Cheragh mosque where 13 pilgrims, including children, were shot in the October 26 attack.

Earlier, Iranian justice had identified them as “nationals of neighboring countries” and found them guilty of helping an armed man. Authorities also accused the Islamic State militant group of being responsible for the attack.
