Kansas City Chiefs receiver Justyn Ross’ comeback story took a bad turn on Monday.
Ross was arrested in Shawnee, Kansas and faces a felony charge of criminal damage of more than $25,000, according to multiple reports including KMBC. KMBC reported he is in custody of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. Ross has a court date on Tuesday, NFL Media said.
Ross was a star as a college freshman at Clemson, but a neck injury cost him a college season and was a reason he went undrafted. Ross missed the entire 2022 season with the Chiefs due to foot surgery. But Ross had a good preseason with the Chiefs and made the 53-man roster, which was remarkable after his career was derailed by injuries. He appeared in all seven games so far this season for the Chiefs and had three catches for 34 yards.
