Here is a cute RuPaul’s Drag Race a meeting that will hit you squarely in the “poison rosebud”.
After season 5, sisters Jinkx Monsoon and Ivy Winters reunited on July 12 behind the scenes of the Detroit stop of the first It’s all at stake tour, EW can reveal exclusive photos from the couple’s reunion 10 years after they competed together (and formed a deep emotional bond) on the set of the Emmy-winning drag queen competition series.
“Ivy is one of the most talented people I know. When Ivy Winters decides she wants something, she doesn’t buy it, she builds it. When she wants to do something new, she learns from it. -even,” Jinkx exclusively told EW in a statement about his reunion with Ivy. “Honestly one of the nicest, dumbest, dumbest, loveliest people around and drag race brought into my life.”

The pair quickly bonded on the set of Season 5 at an important time for Jinkx, as his bizarre approach to the art form was often misunderstood by several of his other castmates. Jinkx even admitted to having a crush on Ivy in a confessional while filming.
“There’s one person who always understands who I am and what I do, and that’s Ivy,” Jinkx said during the season, which premiered January 28, 2013, then burst into tears when Ivy was eliminated for the first time. “I don’t know how to put into words how much Ivy means to me. I almost think this cold is the start of a relationship, and I’m really excited about it.”
Jinkx was then crowned the winner of the season, while Ivy won the title of Miss Congeniality.

In a previous interview with EW, Jinkx opened up about his time with Ivy in 2013.
“It was absolutely heartbreaking,” Jinkx confirmed to EW. BENEFIT podcast in 2020. “Ivy and I never had any kind of romance, it was a symptom of captivity, you know? It was Stockholm syndrome. But, immediately after the show, I visited her at New York with my best friend Ivy and I have been very close friends since we wrapped filming, and I almost immediately met her boyfriend, who is now her husband, Keith, right after drag race. She now lives on a farm with her husband, she has 26 or 28 chickens, she makes hot air balloons for a living, she does stained glass art, Ivy is one of the cleverest people I have ever encountered.”
Since the show, Ivy has largely fallen back, while Jinkx has become one of the most successful alumni in show history, having starred as Mama Morton in Chicago on Broadway, landed roles in Clea DuVall’s lesbian romantic comedy The happiest season and the next season Doctor Whoin addition to becoming the only queen to win Drag Race twice when she triumphed over the winners All Stars 7 edition of the show in 2022.
