Gaston County police have arrested two men accused of shooting another man early Friday.
The victim, 55-year-old Shane Lamar Woody, was shot at his home on Rocky Ridge Way around 1 a.m.
Channel 9′s Ken Lemon learned Woody’s 8-year-old granddaughter helped him after he was shot.

Detectives believe Christopher Joseph Brewer and Jerry Jerome Johnson Jr. went to Woody’s home while he was with his daughter and granddaughter.
Woody’s daughter spoke to Lemon, saying the two suspects stepped onto their front porch and got into an argument, yelling at her father through an open door. She said her father tried to close the front door and one of the men used his arm to push the door open.
She said Woody got his cell phone, her 8-year-old daughter applied pressure on the wound, and she ran outside to get help.
Woody is in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.
Police arrested one of the suspects, Christopher Joseph Brewer, at the scene. He appears to be Woody’s neighbor, living just a few houses down Rocky Ridge Way.
Gaston County police said Johnson left the scene before officers arrived but was found later Friday and arrested.
Brewer and Johnson each face the following charges: Attempted first-degree murder, attempted armed robbery, and conspiracy.
The investigation into this case is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident can call Crimestoppers at 704-861-8000.
